Overview
Each player gets 3 cards and 4 are laid on the table. Capture order: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 then Sota (10), Caballo (11), Rey (12) — there is no 8/9 gap.
How to play
- Capture — Play a card matching the rank of a table card to take it, then keep capturing the next rank up the order.
- Announcements — Announce “ronda” if you hold a pair, and “tringa” if you hold three of a kind.
- Sweep — Clearing the whole table at once is a “mesa” and scores a point.
Scoring & winning
- Caída (capturing the last card played) 1, mesa (clearing the table) 1, ronda (a pair) 1, tringa (three of a kind) 5.
- At deal end: 1 point per captured card over the threshold (20 for 2/4 players, 13 for 3). First to 41 wins.
Strategy
Remember the Sota follows the 7 directly in the order — there's no 8/9 gap.
