Overview

Tarneeb uses a full 52-card deck — 13 cards each and 13 tricks per round. Cards rank naturally, Ace high.

How to play

  1. BiddingEach player bids the number of tricks their team commits to win (7 to 13) or passes. The highest bidder picks the trump suit.
  2. PlayFollow the led suit if you can; otherwise play trump or any card. Trump beats any other suit.
  3. Make the contractIf the bidding team takes at least its bid in tricks it scores the bid; otherwise it loses that amount.

Scoring & winning

  • Contract made: +the bid for your team. Failed: −the bid.
  • The first team to reach 31 points wins the match.

Strategy

Don't over-bid without strong trumps — a failed contract is scored against you.
